This is an action photo from truly the most insane wildlife sequence of events I have seen in my life. We found the incredibly endangered African Wild Dogs (only 5000 left in the world) and saw them in their element. There was a leopard who caught an impala, the wild dogs stole it, chased the leopard up a tree, and ate the leopard’s kill right in front of her. Then the hyenas showed up to get a piece, but it wasn’t long before the wild dogs chased them away. After a tasty meal the dogs hesitantly went for a drink in the water, carefully avoiding the territorial hippo. This frame was taken when one of the hyenas got a little too close!
