Boydi

from CA$190.00

My Grandad’s nickname was Boydi, and he was also a photographer. I’ve only ever shot digital, whereas he loved the art of film and bringing it to life in a red room. There’s a massive framed photo of a blue heron in my Granny’s home, so I’ve always thought of my Grandad when I see a heron. For most of my life they were a prehistoric bird that I was lucky enough to see a couple times a year, but when I moved to a lake house, I started seeing them almost everyday. Seeing the heron daily made me want to sit outside and enjoy wildlife photography again. This photo was taken when one landed on my dock for a rest. Maybe it’s a spiritual symbol, maybe it’s a pleasant coincidence, but either way it makes this photo feel special.

🐼 10% of every order is donated to World Wildlife Fund Canada.

🇨🇦 All art is printed by a family owned Canadian Pro Photo Lab.

🖼 Printed with a deep matte texture that gives a soft, painted appearance to the art.
