I had the honour of photographing a wedding in Matera, Italy. While I was there, I did a lot of exploring, and I took this photo on a cliffside beach at sunset. The whole week leading up to the wedding my sister and I had that Italian song ‘Volare’ stuck in our heads. At one of the wedding celebrations we got to experience true, authentic, Italian culture with everyone. One of the local family members broke out the guitar and everyone sang ‘Volare’, a song about flying, liberation, and the power of love. It was one of my favourite moments, and left me with a warm, light, and cheerful impression of Italy.
